As interest in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) and Relational Frame Theory (RFT) has increased many behavior analysts have begun to seek out ACT-focused training. We are offering a special introduction to ACT and RFT concepts meant to help introduce you to the dynamics of verbal behavior.

We will utilize experiential material drawn from media, art, and music, as well as your own learning histories to introduce you to the fundamentals of the model and shift your perspective, artfully. As you learn, you will be working on your own behavior analytic inspired piece (choice of 1 of 3 designs) in a live Paint & Experience training. After the live training, we will hand out evaluations to attendees and issue CE certificates to those who attended for credit.

Each person will receive a 16″ wide by 20″ tall canvas with art pre-traced onto the canvas for ease of painting. Our artist facilitator will be present throughout the event to inspire thought, fun, and assist you in painting. We are proud to offer this event in collaboration with the Texas Ale Project! A local Texas micro-brewery!  Refreshments and may be purchased from the establishment if you are 21+ years old. Minimum suggested age is 18 years old for this event. We ask for 24-hours or more notice for cancelations for refunds. No shows will not receive refunds or credit.

Through this workshop you will:

1. Identify the importance of rule-governed behavior in higher level thinking.
2. Explain the importance of metaphor to creating flexibility in rule-governed behavior.
3. Define transformation of stimulus functions.
