RFT can form the basis of a unified theory of behavior.

I agree that RFT can form the basis of a unified theory of behavior. In fact, we can be even more ambitious if RFT is integrated with Kurt Fischer’s new-Piagetian model of skill development which explains cognitive development throughout the lifespan. Fischer’s work in turn relates to Elliot Jacques field research on cognitive capacity and complexity of work in organizations. Connecting all the dots would provide us with an integrated theory for clinical, personality, development, and industrial organizational psychology.
